The Luthiery in Luby (Schönbach)

The luthiery and Schönbach (nowadays Luby) belong together since long ago. More accurately the building of musical instruments in this region is documented since approximately the half of the 17th century. In that time, after the devastating Thirty Years' War blazed across the land and metal mining in the region was reduced, local people got into precarious economic situation. And home making of musical instruments was a solution.
